Unit 10 Market Mews
Dundee Museum of Transport, which opened to the public in 2014, is the result of the hard work and perseverance of a number of groups and individuals. For a number of years we have been acquiring and preserving your local transport heritage.
At our temporary premises, close to Dundee city centre, we aim to stimulate public interest and awareness of topics such as shipbuilding, aviation, rail and road transport. As visitors make their way round the exhibits, they are also invited to take a walk down memory lane – reminiscing about the transport history of Tayside and beyond.
Many cities across the UK have some form of Transport Museum as a home for their transport history, vehicles and memorabilia. We hope that the people of Dundee will continue to support us in our venture and join our campaign to bring our heritage home and remember those local pioneers whose achievements have long been forgotten.
